Delhi’s politics is getting more intense as the city prepares for Wednesday’s important Assembly election. The day wrapped up with a key meeting between AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister Atishi, and the Election Commission of India.

Delhi Assembly Election 2025: 10 Key Updates :
The Delhi Assembly election will take place in one phase on Wednesday, February 5, from 7 am to 6 pm. Vote counting will be held on February 8.
Voting will happen at 13,766 polling stations across all 70 assembly constituencies, deciding the future of 699 candidates.
The Election Commission has banned exit polls from 7 am to 6:30 pm on February 5, during voting for the Delhi Assembly and by-elections in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Over 30,000 police officers and 220 paramilitary teams have been deployed across Delhi for security, according to police officials.
Almost 3,000 polling booths have been marked as sensitive, and special security measures, including drone surveillance, are in place at some locations. The Election Commission has introduced a Queue Management System (QMS) app to help voters check crowd levels in real-time. Special arrangements have also been made for senior citizens and people with disabilities.
On Wednesday, Chief Electoral Officer R. Alice Vaz presented the voter information slip to President Droupadi Murmu in Delhi as part of the Election Commission’s ongoing efforts to raise voter awareness and help people.

AAP’s Manish Sisodia is vying for the Jangpura seat, competing against BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah and Congress’s Farhad Suri.
Senior AAP leader Satyendar Jain is contesting from Shakur Basti, where he faces BJP’s Karnail Singh.
